So..........Thanksgiving is around the corner (or more precisely it has rounded the corner and is pulling in the driveway. So, in light of that I would like to take a moment to reflect on what this holiday actually stands for.
No, not the Pilgrims and the Indians. Not even turkey and stuffing.
It is a reflection of who we are as a people, and as individuals. Are we content......are we gracious.........are we kind.........are we appreciative.
Thanksgiving is a time for looking at the glass half full, rather than half empty. It is when we see the good in ourselves and others and we view our lives in their true nature. We don't focus on the negatives or pick out the flaws.........we see the blessings and the gifts and in turn we look at how we can impact others.
Today........
*make note of the blessings in your life
*find ways to bless others
*thank God for his provision
*pray for our country and leaders
*remember that Thanksgiving is something we should celebrate every day, not just this Thursday
God's Blessings!
